Amy is an Associate Professional Counselor working with children, adolescents, families and adults. A graduate of Richmont Graduate University with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Amy’s practice of therapy is focused on seeing the value and worth in all individuals. Amy seeks to create an atmosphere that allows for clients to work collaboratively through the struggles of life, meeting each client where they are and fostering an environment of acceptance, freedom, and nonjudgmental self-exploration. Amy works with children and adolescents with their families to aid in navigating the challenges that come with the present culture. Amy’s experience working in the inpatient and residential behavioral health hospital setting gives her the unique perspective of aiding children and their families through behavioral challenges to create more cohesion and overall health and well being for the individual client and the family.
Amy is clinically trained in a variety of theoretical orientations including attachment, cognitive behavior therapy, behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, family systems, and psychodynamic therapy. When Amy is not working in the therapeutic setting, she enjoys going to Atlanta United games and enjoying city life.
