Psychiatric Consultants of Atlanta adheres to all applicable Federal and Common wealth of Virginia laws and regulations, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). My HIPAA Compliance Summary is available to you upon request. To safeguard client confidentiality, your records are locked up except when in use. Clients' written authorization is required for any release of information or records.

Exceptions are made to this confidentiality policy only in the event of court order, real and imminent danger to clients or to others, abuse of children, the disabled, or the elderly. We occasionally consult with colleagues about client cases, without identifying clients by name.
